2. Prepare Manuscript: Follow standard JDOI author guidelines for formatting
3. Submit Online: Use ManuscriptZone and select the appropriate special issue
4. Peer Review: Your manuscript undergoes rigorous single-blind review
5. Guest Editor Oversight: Guest editors provide additional guidance
6. Publication: Accepted articles are published and collected in the special issue

Submissions to special issues must follow standard JDOI author guidelines:

• Original, unpublished research within the special issue scope
• Structured abstract with Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions
• High-resolution clinical images and radiographs
• Ethics approval and patient consent documentation
• Vancouver style references with DOIs

Special issue submissions typically receive expedited processing. Initial editorial assessment is completed within 3-5 business days. Peer review is coordinated with guest editors and typically completed within 2-4 weeks. Authors can track manuscript status through ManuscriptZone.

Accepted articles are published online immediately upon completion of proof review and payment. Articles are then collected into the special issue landing page when the special issue closes. All articles receive CrossRef DOI registration and full indexing.
