Copyright and License

JDOI publishes all articles under Creative Commons license, ensuring open access while protecting author rights.

Authors retain full copyright ownership of their published work in JDOI. By submitting to JDOI, authors grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the work under an open access license. This arrangement ensures authors maintain intellectual property rights while allowing unrestricted access to their research.

All articles published in JDOI are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows:

• Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
• Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose
• Commercial Use: Use for commercial purposes is permitted
• Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given to original authors

As a JDOI author, you retain the following rights:

• Full copyright ownership of your work
• Right to post preprints and postprints
• Right to present work at conferences
• Right to include work in your thesis or dissertation
• Right to reuse figures and data in future publications
• Right to use content for teaching and educational purposes

Authors must ensure they have obtained necessary permissions for any third-party content included in their manuscript. This includes figures, tables, and clinical images from other sources. Copyright clearance documentation should be available upon request.

Upon acceptance, corresponding authors sign a license agreement granting JDOI the non-exclusive right to publish and distribute the work under CC BY 4.0. This agreement confirms original authorship, ethical compliance, and that no conflicting prior agreements exist.

When citing or reusing JDOI content, users should provide appropriate attribution including author names, article title, journal name, volume, page numbers, DOI, and license information. This ensures proper credit flows to original researchers.
