Biography:

Dr. Syed Shams ul Hassan is a highly dedicated researcher specializing in the discovery and purification of natural products, primarily sourced from marine organisms. His core scientific focus involves investigating the anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer potential of these bioactive compounds. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, Dr. Hassan integrates advanced techniques such as stress induction, genomics, and sophisticated computational drug discovery methods, including molecular docking, to isolate novel therapeutics and unlock the pharmacological promise of marine microbial treasures. His work aims to combat global health challenges, particularly the urgent need for new antimicrobial and oncological agents.​

  • Computational drug discovery (chemoinformatics, molecular docking) to identify novel PBP2a-targeted antibiotics.
  • Evaluating natural products for their therapeutic potential against chronic diseases, including Alzheimer's, osteoporosis, and various cancers.
