Publication charges

Article Processing Charges

The Journal of Current Scientific Research publishes every article open access, free to read at the point of use. Publication is funded by a charge that applies after a manuscript has been accepted.

This page states the rate, when the charge applies, what it covers, how it is invoiced, and the terms that apply if a manuscript is withdrawn.

The article processing charge, by author category.
CategoryChargeApplies to
StandardUSD 2,100Accepted manuscripts, all article types.
StudentUSD 900Student-led submissions with valid student identification or current institutional proof of student status. Provide the evidence at submission for confirmation of eligibility. The charge applies only after acceptance.

When the charge applies

Terms
When it applies

The APC applies only after acceptance. There is no submission fee or peer-review fee. Withdrawal charges are governed by the withdrawal policy below.

Currency

United States dollars. Any bank or currency-conversion charge is met by the payer.

Taxes

Where tax is due on a publication charge, it is applied to the invoice according to the payer's jurisdiction and shown as a separate line.

Other charges

There is no submission fee, no peer-review fee, no page charge, no color-figure charge and no charge for supplementary files.

Special Issues

Publication in a Special Issue carries the same charge and the same terms as publication in a regular issue.

The charge and the decision

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions are independent of an author's ability to pay. The charge is raised only after a decision has been made, by staff who take no part in making it.

Screening, reviewer selection, review and the decision are governed by the Editorial Policies, which state the criteria applied. Payment does not affect whether a manuscript is reviewed, how quickly it is handled, how it is presented after publication, or any editorial judgment about it.

Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.

Who sees what

Billing is handled by the publisher's editorial office. Handling editors and reviewers work from the manuscript and its declarations, and an author's payment status forms no part of what reaches them.

Where review is described

Peer review: Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. The full model, including screening and the reviewer count, is on Editorial Policies.

Fee-relief inquiries

Where the charge is an obstacle

Where the charge is an obstacle, authors are invited to write to the editorial office before submitting. Requests are considered on their circumstances, separately from the editorial process and by staff who take no part in it, so a request cannot influence the assessment of the manuscript and the assessment cannot influence the request.

Write to [email protected] with the working title of the manuscript and the intended article type.

Invoicing and payment

How it is raised
  1. AcceptanceThe editorial decision is issued. Only then does a charge arise.
  2. Billing detailsThe corresponding author supplies the billing name, address and any purchase-order or institutional reference the payer requires on the invoice.
  3. InvoiceThe publisher issues an invoice for the applicable rate, with any tax shown separately.
  4. PaymentPayment is made by the method stated on the invoice. Institutional and funder payment arrangements are handled through the billing contact.
  5. ProductionThe article proceeds through production to publication under CC BY 4.0, with its Crossref DOI registered.

Questions about an invoice, an institutional arrangement or a payment method go to [email protected].

Documentation for funders

An itemized invoice suitable for institutional or grant reporting is issued for every charge, and receipts are available on request.

Split billing

For collaborative work, a charge may be divided between partner institutions. The editorial office arranges this on request before the invoice is issued.

Withdrawing a manuscript

Withdrawal policy

Authors should contact the editorial office promptly and wait for written confirmation before submitting the work elsewhere.

Manuscripts withdrawn within 3 days of submission are not subject to a withdrawal charge.

Manuscripts withdrawn more than 3 days after submission incur a withdrawal charge equal to 30% of the journal's APC.

Authors must receive official withdrawal confirmation before submitting the manuscript to another journal.
