The Journal of Current Scientific Research accepts submissions throughout the year, across all scientific disciplines.
This page covers the routes that reach the editorial office, what to settle before a submission is prepared, the declarations that travel with every manuscript, and what happens once one arrives.

Before you start
PreparationThree points are assessed during initial screening: scientific suitability, preparation and the availability of competent review.
- Does the work sit within the journal's scope?JCSR considers meaningful scientific research across all scientific disciplines. Research-area lists are illustrative, not exhaustive. Suitability depends on a substantive and assessable contribution, appropriate methods or scholarly reasoning, evidence, ethics and the availability of qualified editorial and independent peer-review expertise. The complete criteria are set out on Aims and Scope.
- Is the manuscript prepared to the journal's requirements?Article types and their limits, abstract structure, reference and figure preparation, the reporting standard for each study design, and the final checklist are in the Instructions for Authors. A manuscript that meets them moves through screening without avoidable delay.
- Can the journal arrange competent review for it?Both the handling editor and independent reviewers must have the expertise needed for their respective roles. Where suitable expertise cannot be arranged, the manuscript does not proceed to external review, and the editorial office says so rather than holding the work.
Ask before you prepare
A short description of the study, the evidence it rests on and the contribution it makes is enough for the editorial office to say whether it sits within scope. The address is at the foot of the routes below, and again at the end of this page.
What the journal accepts
Original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, scoping reviews, short communications, technical notes, methods and protocols, data descriptors, replication studies, perspectives, scientific case studies, editorials and letters.

Where a submission cannot be completed by either route, the editorial office will accept the manuscript by email and enter it for you.
Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.

Declarations required at submission
The recordEvery submission carries these. They are part of the record, and a missing one is the most common reason a manuscript is returned before review. What each declaration must establish is set out in the Editorial Policies.

| Ethics approval | For studies involving human participants, identifiable human data or animals, the appropriate committee or equivalent body and approval reference, or an applicable exemption with its basis and responsible authority. |
| Consent | How informed consent was obtained, or the approved waiver and the body that granted it; written consent for publication where any individual could be identifiable. |
| Trial registration | Registry name, registration number and registration date, for any interventional clinical trial. |
| Data availability | Where the data are, on what terms, and how a reader obtains them. |
| Code and materials | The repository and version for custom code and models, and the source of reagents, materials or instruments another group would need. |
| Funding | All sources with grant numbers, and the role of the funder in the work. |
| Competing interests | Financial and non-financial interests for every author, including relationships with any company whose product, material or software is evaluated. |
| AI use | Any generative AI tool used in preparing the manuscript or conducting the analysis, and what it was used for. |
| Prior dissemination | Any preprint, with its identifier, and any conference abstract covering the same work. |
| Review model | Whether double-blind review is requested. |
After you submit
What happens next- AcknowledgmentThe editorial office confirms receipt and assigns the manuscript a reference. Use it in any correspondence about the submission.
- Editorial screeningAll submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review. A manuscript may be returned at this stage for preparation, or declined as outside scope.
- Peer reviewSingle-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
- DecisionEditorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. The handling editor sends the reviews with the decision.
- RevisionWhere revision is invited, authors respond point by point to each review. Revised manuscripts usually return to the same reviewers.
- Acceptance and productionAfter acceptance the article processing charge is raised, and the article moves through copyediting and typesetting to publication under CC BY 4.0 with a registered Crossref DOI.

Withdrawing a manuscript
Authors should contact the editorial office promptly and wait for written confirmation before submitting the work elsewhere. The complete terms are published in the withdrawal section of the charges page.
Appeals
An author may appeal a decision by responding in detail to the reviewers' comments. An appeal is considered by an editor who was not responsible for the original decision.
