Biography

Jasmin Mantilla Contreras is Juniorprofessor for Ecology & Environmental Education at the University of Hildesheim, Germany. She completed her education at the University of Göttingen and has received notable fellowships supporting her research career, including a DAAD fellowship for her diploma thesis in Bolivia (2003), a Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt fellowship for her PhD (2004), and a Deutsches Stiftungszentrum fellowship for her postdoctoral work (2008). Her research contributions to plant ecology are exemplified by her most-cited publication on trait correlation network analysis in herbaceous perennial plants (2018), which has been cited 165 times and identifies biomass allocation traits and stem specific length as hub traits.
