Journal of Ophthalmic Science is an Open Access, Peer Reviewed Journal. JOS provides a forum for the Ophthalmologists, researchers, educators, and other health professionals to express their research outcomes and distinct views on Ophthalmic Science. Membership offers authors a significant advantage of a complete waiver of article processing charges (APC) and provides additional valuable benefits, such as language improvement, for the entire duration of their subscription.
Membership program aimed at benefiting the scientific community. Our membership program is available to universities, institutes, scientific societies, corporate companies, individuals, and students. By enrolling in our membership program, an affordable charge can be made to publish a number of articles within a designated timeframe. Additionally, our membership program assists institutional administrators in managing Open Access publications. The funds received from the membership program will be allocated towards covering the Article Processing Charges (APC).
Individual Researchers, Authors Membership
To be eligible for the waiver, it is required that you are either the author or co-author of the manuscript being submitted. During the selected membership period, you may select any of our journals for publication and take advantage of the benefits offered to authors.
- Offers a certificate of membership.
- An author may submit an unlimited number of manuscripts per year, with the exception of special issues.
- A 30% discount is being offered for the special issue APC.

To apply, students are required to submit a brief letter of recommendation from a faculty member, department head, or research advisor. This initiative is aimed at enriching students' academic journey and equipping them with the necessary resources to thrive in scholarly publishing.

Institutional Membership
An institutional membership offers complimentary publication services to authors affiliated with the subscribing institution during the designated subscription period, in accordance with the terms of the offer provided during that period. Additionally, authors may enjoy benefits such as language editing. To obtain this membership, it is necessary for your institution to become a member of OAP by remitting the membership fees. Subsequently, an email from an authorized representative of the institution, confirming that the manuscript is affiliated with the institution. Furthermore, at least one author must be affiliated with the same institution.

Once it has been established that there is no ambiguity, we may proceed with the processing of your membership. To obtain an extended time period, kindly get in touch with us.
Important points to be noted
- The exclusive services offered through membership must be utilized within the designated timeframe. Failure to utilize the allotted limit does not warrant an extension.
- If you desire to extend your membership prior to its expiration, it may be extended at your convenience and avail 10% waiver on renewal process.
- It is imperative that the renewal process be completed prior to the deadline in order to take advantage of the opportunity to carry forward any remaining service slots.
