Built for discovery. Reported with evidence. IJA is preparing its first published record and does not yet claim journal-level inclusion in a selective index.
Current status
A publisher’s membership, an editorial tool, article discovery, journal indexing, and digital preservation are different things. This page labels each role precisely so authors can make an informed decision.

How to read indexing claims
Identifier and metadata infrastructure
Services such as Crossref register persistent DOI records and distribute bibliographic metadata. This is infrastructure, not selective journal indexing.
Article discovery
Scholarly search engines and research graphs may crawl or ingest individual works. Coverage and refresh timing are controlled by each external service.
Journal-level indexing
A title-level index or directory evaluates or lists a journal as a publication. Inclusion should be supported by an authoritative journal record.
Digital preservation
Preservation services protect deposited content for long-term access. Preservation complements indexing but is not evidence of indexing.
Verified service classification
Only roles supported by an authoritative source or reproducible record are presented as current.
Crossref
Verified publisher infrastructureOpen Access Pub is the Crossref member responsible for prefix 10.14302. Crossref supplies DOI and metadata infrastructure; no IJA article DOI records exist yet.
Verify the publisher prefixGoogle Scholar
Article discovery · not yet evidenced for IJAGoogle Scholar discovers scholarly article pages through automated systems. IJA has no published article record to verify at this time.
Read Google Scholar’s publisher guidanceOpenAlex and related research graphs
Downstream discovery · no current IJA recordResearch graphs ingest works from sources such as Crossref on their own schedules. OpenAlex has no exact IJA source or work record at the time of review.
How OpenAlex covers worksSelective indexes and directories
No current inclusion claimIJA does not currently claim inclusion in DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science, or MEDLINE. Any future inclusion will be listed only after an authoritative title record can be linked here.
The publication record being built
When publication begins, the IJA workflow is designed to provide the following article-level elements.
- ✓A persistent DOI and deposited citation metadata
- ✓A public article landing page and open full text
- ✓Clear CC BY 4.0 licence information
- ✓Accurate author names, affiliations, and supplied ORCID iDs
- ✓Structured references and related-work links
- ✓Transparent correction and version-status information
How external discovery develops
- 1Publish the articleA public landing page, full text, licence, and article metadata become available.
- 2Register the recordThe publisher deposits the DOI and bibliographic metadata with Crossref.
- 3External services ingest itSearch engines and research graphs crawl or import eligible records on their own schedules.
- 4Verify and report coverageIJA links a service here only after its journal or article record can be reproduced.
What authors can do
Accurate manuscript metadata supports correct identification and retrieval after publication. It does not guarantee indexing, citation growth, peer review, or acceptance.
Verification commitment
IJA will add a service to its current-status register only when an authoritative journal or article record can be linked. Each listing will identify the service’s role, source, and verification date.
A logo alone is not evidence of inclusion. External platforms control their own evaluation, ingestion, and update schedules.
Assess journal fit before submission
Review IJA’s scientific scope and author guidance before preparing a manuscript. Indexing or discovery claims never replace evaluation of the journal’s editorial fit and policies.
Questions about a listing? Contact the IJA editorial office at [email protected]. To submit, use the manuscript submission form.
Digital preservation
This journal’s content is committed to Portico, a not-for-profit digital-preservation archive run by ITHAKA (the organisation behind JSTOR). As articles are deposited they enter Portico’s permanent archive, so the scholarly record stays available for the long term — even if a title one day ceases to publish. Read our preservation policy.
