Membership Discounts
JHHR members receive significant APC reductions. Individual researchers can save up to 45% on publication costs through our membership programs.
Low-Income Country Waivers
Authors from World Bank-classified low-income countries are eligible for affordable APC waivers. Partial waivers are available for lower-middle income countries based on demonstrated need.
Hardship Waivers
Individual authors facing financial hardship may request discretionary waivers. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis during submission.
No Hidden Fees
The APC is a one-time charge. There are no submission fees, page charges, color figure fees, or supplementary material charges. What you see is what you pay.
We accept multiple payment methods for your convenience:

Ethical Notice: Withdrawal Policy. Concurrent submission of a manuscript to multiple journals is a violation of publication ethics. If a paper is withdrawn from JHHR after 3 days of submission to be sent elsewhere, a 30% withdrawal fee applies. Official withdrawal must be confirmed by the editorial office before submitting elsewhere.
Publishing open access with JHHR provides significant advantages for your research visibility and impact:
- Immediate Availability: Your article is freely accessible to readers worldwide from the moment of publication—no subscription barriers or embargo periods
- Increased Citations: Open access articles typically receive more citations than subscription-based publications due to their broader accessibility
- Policy Compliance: Many funding agencies and institutions now require open access publication for grant-funded research
- Public Engagement: Healthcare providers, patients, and policymakers can immediately access and apply your findings
- Permanent Access: Your work remains permanently accessible with a stable DOI for reliable long-term citation
When do I pay the APC?
Payment is only required after your manuscript has been formally
accepted for publication following peer review. There are no upfront submission fees.
Can my institution pay the APC?

documentation for grant reimbursement. Contact our accounts department for invoicing requirements.
