The Journal of Human and Animal Intestines (JHAI) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal which offers a distinct platform to discuss research findings in the fields of gastroenterology, pathology and general medicine. The journal focuses on research progress made in the areas of gastrointestinal and colorectal diseases, pediatric gastroenterology, abdominal surgery, and pathologic diagnosis. JHAI supports research on the diagnosis, pathogenesis, progression and treatment of digestive and intestinal diseases. 


The journal provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, research and current clinical information, with the aim of advancing the understanding and wellbeing of all animals, including humans.

JHAI encourages authors to adhere to the journal's Instructions for Authors when preparing their manuscripts and to ensure that manuscripts follow the highest standards of ethical research and publishing. Author’s are requested to submit their manuscript through online submission portal or via mail.


Article Processing Charge:

JHAI is proud to feature a rapid review process with a view to fast publication in order to make knowledge more widely accessible. Article processing charges (APCs) are applied to accepted articles to ensure that publication standards are maintained.
