Overview

GPS (Global Positioning System), GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), GIS (Geographic Information System), and Differential GPS are positioning and navigation technologies that are used for a range of applications. GPS/GNSS/GIS/Differential GPS uses satellite-based location data to provide precise location information and navigation abilities to users. This technology can be used to track vehicles, boats, aircraft, and other moving objects; obtain accurate maps; perform geographic and demographic research; and for a variety of other purposes. Differential GPS is a technique for obtaining high accuracy position measurements and is used in a wide range of applications such as surveying, construction, and agricultural operations. It is also used for applications such as precision timing services, air traffic control, rail transportation management, and maritime navigation. GPS/GNSS/GIS/Differential GPS technology has revolutionized the way people access, utilize, and share location-based information. This technology has enabled new ways of doing business, transforming existing industries and creating new ones.
