Overview

Precision agriculture (PA) is the use of technology to optimize the use of resources in farming. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a key technology used in PA, allowing for the automation of many farming operations, from crop and resource management, to invasive species detection. AI is also used to analyze real-time data to make better decisions on when to plant, irrigate or harvest crops, and to predict the likely yield of a crop. With the help of AI, farmers can increase the productivity and efficiency of their farms while reducing inputs like water, fertilizer and pesticides. AI helps farmers make the most of their resources, reducing the impact on the environment and contributing to sustainable production.
