Overview

Elastic Cartilage, also known as yellow cartilage, is a type of cartilage found in the human body that is flexible and resilient. It provides important structural support for many organs, including the ears, larynx and epiglottis. It is composed of a combination of elastin, collagen and chondrocytes, which form a network of connective tissue that resists tension and is capable of rapid recovery when stretched. Elastic Cartilage is essential for the normal function and movement of organs, as well as for providing protection against physical trauma and maintaining their shape. As many organs are composed of elastic cartilage, it is important for overall health and wellbeing.
