Overview

Hemiplegic migraines are a form of migraine headache associated with temporary paralysis of the face, arm, or leg of one side of the body. Hemiplegic migraines can be a debilitating and painful condition, and there is currently no known cure. However, treatments can help to manage the symptoms. These treatments may include medications, lifestyle modifications, and stress management. They may also include Botulinum toxin injections to reduce muscle tension, acupuncture, and lifestyle changes.
