Overview
Headaches are a common physical complaint and can be caused by numerous sources such as stress, tension, dehydration, caffeine, and even genetics. Headaches can range from mild to severe and usually involve throbbing or piercing pain in the head or face, or they might be a feeling of pressure across the entire head. The most common type of headache is tension headache, which is caused by tight or overstressed muscles in the neck, scalp, and forehead. Other types of headaches include sinus headache, migraine, and cluster headache. Treatment for headaches may include medications, physical therapies, and lifestyle changes. Headaches are a significant health concern, as they can interfere with daily activities and affect quality of life.
