Use ManuscriptZone as the primary submission route for JWRH. Review scope, prepare the files and declarations below, and submit the manuscript only once.

Before starting the submission
The manuscript should address reproductive biology, a reproductive or sexual-health condition, or related care, experience, rights or access across the lifespan. This includes contraception and abortion care, pregnancy and maternal health, lactation and breastfeeding. Basic and preclinical research is eligible when reproductive relevance is explicit; demonstrated clinical benefit is not a prerequisite. Follow the reporting standard appropriate to the research stage.

- Choose the supported article type that matches the work.
- Confirm that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
- Agree the author list, order and corresponding author.
- Prepare ethics, consent and trial-registration information where applicable.
- Review the APC policy before submission.
Alternative

Assisted
The editorial office accepts assisted submissions by email.
Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.
Files and declarations
Complete records allow editorial screening to focus on scope, ethics and reporting rather than missing administrative information.
Manuscript
Editable main file containing the title page, abstract, keywords, main text, references, table legends and figure legends.
Figures and tables
Editable tables and separate publication-quality figure files, with permissions for any third-party material.
Cover letter
State the manuscript’s contribution, scope fit, research stage, originality, related manuscripts and any preprint record. Identify the biological model or study population and explain what the evidence establishes.
Supplementary material
Provide files that support the methods, data or reporting without being required to understand the central article.
Required declarations
Include author contributions, funding, competing interests, data availability, ethics approval, informed consent and consent for publication where relevant.
Interventional clinical trials must be registered in an accepted public trial registry at or before the first participant provides consent for enrollment. The registry name, registration number, and registration date must be reported in the manuscript.
What happens after submission
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
Peer review: Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request.
Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Technical check
The editorial office confirms that required files and declarations are present.
Editorial screening
An editor assesses scope, ethical documentation and minimum reporting quality.
Peer review
Independent experts evaluate methods, ethics, reporting and relevance.
Decision and revision
The editor evaluates the evidence and reviewer reports. Authors respond point by point when revision is invited.
Charges are separate from editorial decisions
No submission or peer-review fee is charged. If a manuscript is accepted, the applicable APC is invoiced under the published policy.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
