Editorial roles are scholarly responsibilities. Service on the board confers no advantage in the review or acceptance of an editor's own work.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
Editors disclose relevant interests and do not handle manuscripts where a personal, professional, financial or institutional conflict could affect impartiality.
A submitting editor has no role in reviewer selection or decision-making. Another qualified editor manages the manuscript independently under the journal's usual policies.
Peer review: Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Editors protect manuscript content, correspondence and reviewer identities and use unpublished material only for the assigned editorial assessment.
Potential ethics, authorship, data, image or review-process concerns are documented and escalated under the journal's Editorial Policies.
Use the Aims and Scope page to understand the journal's subject boundary, the Editorial Policies for governance in full, and the editor guidance for manuscript-handling responsibilities.
