Journal of New Developments in Chemistry welcomes submissions across the following categories, each designed to serve different research communication needs:

Journal of New Developments in Chemistry publishes research across the full spectrum of chemical sciences. We welcome submissions addressing fundamental questions in chemistry as well as applied research with real-world impact:

• Organic Chemistry: Total synthesis, methodology development, reaction mechanisms, natural products isolation and synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and bioactive compound design
• Inorganic Chemistry: Coordination chemistry, organometallic compounds, main group chemistry, solid-state materials, and bioinorganic systems
• Physical Chemistry: Spectroscopy and structural characterization, thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, surface chemistry, and computational/theoretical chemistry
• Analytical Chemistry: Separation science (chromatography, electrophoresis), mass spectrometry, electroanalytical methods, sensors and biosensors, imaging techniques, and method validation
• Materials Chemistry: Nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, polymers and macromolecules, catalysts and catalytic processes, energy materials, and functional materials
• Green Chemistry: Sustainable synthesis, renewable feedstocks, atom economy, waste reduction, environmentally benign processes, and life cycle assessment
• Biochemistry: Chemical biology, bioconjugation strategies, enzyme mechanisms, protein chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry, and nucleic acid chemistry

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure it adheres to our formatting requirements for efficient processing:

• Abstract limited to 250 words with structured headings (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions)
• Main text typically 4,000-8,000 words for original research articles
• High-quality chemical structures prepared with ChemDraw or equivalent (300+ DPI)
• All new compounds fully characterized with NMR, MS, and appropriate analytical data
• References formatted according to ACS style with DOIs included where available
• Supporting Information file with spectra, additional data, and experimental details
