Mediators, receptors, signaling routes and transcriptional control that set an inflammatory response in motion or hold it in check.
Cells, tissues and organs
The immune and resident cell populations that respond, and the tissue environments that shape what a response becomes.
Disease contexts
Acute and chronic inflammatory conditions, and the experimental, animal and clinical settings in which they are studied.
Resolution and repair
The processes that bring an inflammatory response to an end and determine whether repair or persistence follows.
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts. Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.
