Welcomes submissions to the thematic concept on 'Big Data on Medical Treatment and Clinical Medicine'. Massive quantities of data are being generated in the area of medical treatment and clinical medicine, which hold the promise of advancing our understandings of various diseases, developing new treatment methods, as well as delivering more effective patient care and reducing costs, etc. Development in medical treatment and clinical medicine are driving major expansion in big-data, not only because of the sheer volume of data generated, but also due to the complexity, diversity, and the rich context of the data that encompasses discoveries from basic sciences to clinical translation, to health systems. They also include initiatives that enable use of big-data analytics in health systems for improved clinical decision making, enhanced efficiency of care provision, policy development and implementation. In this Special Issue, we seek research and case studies that demonstrate the application of big data modeling and analysis to support scientific research on clinical data analysis, clinical decision making based on big data, personalized medical treatment, intelligence medical treatment and other important researches.
