Editorial Policies
The Journal of Agronomy Research is committed to rigorous scholarship, ethical publishing, and transparent editorial practices. We align our policies with COPE and ICMJE guidance.
All articles are published open access under a Creative Commons license, allowing readers to access, share, and build upon the work with proper attribution.
Open access supports equitable knowledge sharing.
- All submissions undergo editorial screening for scope and quality.
- Peer review is conducted by independent experts in the field.
- Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.
The journal may use single blind review by default. Authors should remove identifying information if a blinded review process is requested and follow instructions from the editorial office.
- We follow COPE and ICMJE guidance on research ethics and publication integrity.
- Originality is required; duplicate or redundant submissions are not accepted.
- Misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism) is investigated and handled according to COPE procedures.
Submitted manuscripts are screened using iThenticate or equivalent tools. Plagiarism or unacceptable overlap will result in rejection or further inquiry.
- Authorship must reflect substantial contributions to the work.
- All authors must approve the final manuscript and consent to submission.
- Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors must be justified and approved by all authors and the editorial office.
Author contributions should be described using the CRediT taxonomy where possible.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors. If AI is used for language support or assistance, authors must disclose this in a dedicated statement and remain responsible for all content.
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts that could influence the work. Statements must appear in the manuscript.
- Research involving human participants must have ethical approval and informed consent.
- Animal research must follow recognized standards of care and institutional approval.
Authors must provide a data availability statement. When data are deposited in repositories, include persistent identifiers and access details. See Data Archiving & Permissions.
Data transparency supports reproducibility in agronomy and allows readers to assess the robustness of conclusions.
Preprints are permitted. Authors should disclose any preprint versions at submission and update the preprint record with the published DOI after publication.
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by providing a clear rationale and supporting evidence. Appeals are reviewed by senior editorial staff. Complaints are handled according to COPE guidance.
Corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions are handled in accordance with COPE guidance. Updates are clearly linked to the original article to preserve the record.
Authors retain copyright while granting the journal a license to publish. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license unless otherwise stated.
Editorial decisions are independent of advertising or sponsorship. If advertising is introduced, it will be clearly separated from editorial content.
