Overview

Motor reactions are the responses of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems that produce movement, ranging from reflexes and reaction-time responses to coordinated voluntary actions, and they reflect the integration of sensory input, central processing, and muscular output. In physiology, the study of motor reactions spans neuromuscular control, reflex arcs, and the factors that modulate movement and motor performance. International Physiology Journal publishes peer-reviewed, open-access research across human and applied physiology, including work on the role of biogenic amines in nutrition toxicology and a case report on the management of arthrofibrosis of the knee following arthroscopic meniscectomy. While these particular articles address the journal's wider physiological and clinical scope rather than motor reactions directly, they reflect its coverage of neurophysiology, musculoskeletal function, and the biological systems that underlie movement. Readers interested in neuromuscular control, reflexes, and motor performance will find peer-reviewed, open-access studies relevant to motor reactions.
