Biography

Dr. Muhammad Tahir Ul Qamar is an Assistant Professor at Government College University Faisalabad, Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan, where he specializes in bioinformatics, computational biology, computational genomics, pan-genomics, and biotechnology. He earned his PhD from Huazhong Agriculture University and completed earlier studies at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Government College University Faisalabad. His research encompasses in silico drug discovery, molecular docking and simulation approaches for identifying antiviral and therapeutic compounds from medicinal plants, structural and functional genomics, and the development of bioinformatics resources such as medicinal plant databases. With over 71 indexed publications, his most-cited work, "Network Pharmacology Approach for Medicinal Plants: Review and Assessment" (2022), has received 449 citations, reflecting his significant contributions to computational approaches in drug design and plant-based therapeutics.
