Overview

Crystalline inclusions are tiny minerals found within other crystals. They are important to geologists and mineralogists in that they provide evidence of the conditions under which the parent crystal formed and grew. They also allow for a better understanding of how crystals form. Crystalline inclusions can also be used to identify gems and minerals, as each type of mineral has a unique set of inclusions that set it apart from other similar minerals or gems.
