Overview

Calpain inhibitors are proteins that regulate cell function in the human body by blocking the action of the enzyme calpain. Calpain is an enzyme involved in various cellular processes such as signal transduction, apoptosis, and muscle contraction. By inhibiting the action of the calpain enzyme, calpain inhibitors may reduce the risk of neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and muscular dystrophies.
