Monica Cristina Dragomirescu

Monica Cristina Dragomirescu is affiliated with Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Timișoara, Romania, where her research encompasses enzymology, biocatalysis, and biotransformation. Her work has focused on the entrapment and immobilization of enzymes in biocompatible silica matrices and various membrane supports for biosensor applications, the immobilization of bacterial cells in porous matrices, proteolytic enzymes in organic media, controlled release of biomolecules, and enzymatic conversion of lignocellulose. She has served as Executive Editor for Advanced Research of Life Sciences Journal and Scientific Papers of Animal Science and Biotechnologies Journal, and her most-cited publication addresses the influence of stimulatory feeding on mineral composition and antioxidant activity of bee venom (2025). Dr. Dragomirescu is a member of the European Federation of Biotechnology, the Association for Multidisciplinary Research in the Western Zone of Romania, the Romanian Society of Cell Biology, the Romanian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the Romanian Society of Chemistry.
