Biography
Wei Wang, MSc, serves as a Bioinformatics Specialist at Rockefeller University in New York, NY, United States, having completed graduate studies at Central China Normal University. His research encompasses cardiovascular disease mechanisms, including investigations into coronary artery disease genetics, particularly chromosome 9p21 polymorphisms, and the molecular pathogenesis of aortic valve stenosis and thoracic aortic aneurysms. His work examines the roles of transforming growth factor-beta signaling, matrix metalloproteinases, and platelet-derived factors in cardiac fibrosis and vascular remodeling. Wang's most-cited publication, "AP-1 controls the p11-dependent antidepressant response" (2020), has received 42 citations, reflecting his contributions to understanding molecular regulatory mechanisms in disease.
