Biography
Dr Anum Shafiq holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan, and is currently affiliated with VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, Ostrava, Czech Republic. Her research focuses on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), fluid flow with nanoparticles, and mathematical and computational methods in applied mathematics and statistics, with particular emphasis on Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, nanofluids, cavity problems, microorganisms, and various numerical techniques including homotopy analysis methods. She has authored over 57 indexed publications in reputable journals, including her most-cited work, "A Comprehensive Review on Adsorption, Photocatalytic and Chemical Degradation of Dyes and Nitro-Compounds over Different Kinds of Porous and Composite Materials" (2023), which has received 329 citations. Her contributions span magnetohydrodynamic flows, thermal radiation effects, heat transfer phenomena, and advanced fluid mechanics problems involving third-grade fluids and nanofluids.
