      <title>Reason for Retraction </title>
<p>This is a retraction notice. VIEW THE RETRACTED ARTICLE (<ext-link xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.14302/issn.2379-8572.joa-21-3913" ext-link-type="uri">https://doi.org/10.14302/issn.2379-8572.joa-21-3913</ext-link>), which was published on 16 August 2021</p>
<p>This notice is issued by the Editor-in-Chief on behalf of the Journal of Otolaryngology Advances (Open Access Pub).</p>
<p>Citation of retracted article: Khaled Mohamed Bofares (2021). Postulation of the Effect of Unpredicted Predisposing Factors for Post-Tonsillectomy Bleeding. Journal of Otolaryngology Advances 2(2):4–16. DOI: 10.14302/issn.2379-8572.joa-21-3913. </p>
      <p>Published: 16 August 2021.</p>
<p>Reason for retraction: Following an editorial investigation, we confirmed redundant (duplicate) publication. A substantially similar article by the same author was previously published in the Global Journal of Medical Research – Dentistry &amp; Otolaryngology on 15 March 2020: Khaled Mohamed Bofares, “Postulation of the Effect of Unpredicted Predisposing Factors for Post-Tonsillectomy Bleeding,” 20(J3):39–48. URL:https://medicalresearchjournal.org/index.php/GJMR/article/view/2078. The earlier publication constitutes the version of record. The later OAP publication did not disclose prior publication or meet the criteria for acceptable secondary publication.</p>
<p>Process: The investigation followed COPE guidance for handling redundant publication. The corresponding author and the other journal’s editor were notified and given the opportunity to respond prior to this decision. The Editor-in-Chief determined that retraction is required to correct the scholarly record.</p>
<p>Record status: The retracted article remains available to maintain the scholarly record and is clearly marked RETRACTED on the HTML and PDF. This notice links to the article, and the article links to this notice. The article’s open-license terms remain unchanged.</p>
<p>Approvals: Approved by the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Otolaryngology Advances. </p>
      <p>Date of retraction: 20 January 2022. </p>
